I’ve wasted so much money trying to make money online.
Ironically, the website I spent the least on (I just bought siteground hosting and a domain name) is the one that makes money.
Sure, it took a year to start money, and more than that to get to grips with how to write articles that rank on google, but now it makes me largely passive income.
Throwing money at content creation isn’t the answer. Trust me, I’ve tried. Tailwind may gain you a stream of traffic, but patience is free.
Write articles that answer your audience’s problems, wait six months (whilst writing more content) and traffic will come.
Content is king.
Build it and they will come.
Both these statements are true, but the content needs to be more useful that anything that’s already there (a bit of niche experience is all you need to best 95% of existing posts) and you need to be patient.
Pick a niche – something you have experience in. Make a list of 100 articles – I find that the question format works best. Think about what a newcomer to your niche would put into google. Those are your keywords.
Buy a domain name and hosting and set up your site. Follow a YouTube tutorial I’d you don’t know what you’re doing.
Pick a theme (generatepress is fast and clean) and start to write.
Write 30 articles.
One a day is perfect, but just whatever you can to get those first 30 articles online.
After that, write articles when you can. Sticking to a schedule doesn’t really matter, but 10 articles per month is great.
Then wait. And write more.
